Jeff and I have both been working really hard so when Jeff finished his OB/GYN rotation we wanted to spend some relaxing time together. We went to Mystic, CT. It is located right on the Long Island Sound with gorgeous views of the water and a cute little village to walk around in. Our first stop was to get some lunch at Mystic Pizza, the pizza parlor that launched the idea behind the movie Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts. Apparently, the screenwriter summered in Mystic, CT and loved their "Slice of Heaven."

The pizza was delicious- really flavorful sauce!

We took a walk around downtown Mystic, went into the little shops, enjoyed the view, and had ice cream under the Mystic Drawbridge

Mystic River

The Mystic Drawbridge

Next stop- Mystic Aquarium, since Jeff and I are scuba divers we love anywhere where we can see tons of underwater animals. We even got to pet rays and sand sharks!

Sea Lions!

Penguins!

The cutest Belluga Whale!
After a long day of sightseeing it was time for dinner. Since we were right on the shore lobster was the perfect choice. We went to Abbott's Lobster in the Rough. We ordered some steamed mussells, clams, clam chowder, a lobster roll and a whole lobster! We grabbed a table right by the water and chowed down, it was the perfect ending to a fabulous day.

Our tasty lobster!! We can't wait to go back very soon!
