Future Mrs. Joyce!

Renee is getting married in a few weeks so we got together for a fabulous girls weekend to celebrate. Jenn and I also happen to be bridesmaids so we worked together to plan a DC getaway. We spent the first night just relaxing, and after a long work week and traveling it was perfect! We all put on our pj's, ordered pizza (and chocolate lava cake) and just talked and talked for hours. I have never been to DC before so we woke up early on Saturday and set out to see the sights! I cant even begin to describe how in love I am with the city- amazing! Our first stop was to the National Archives where we were able to see the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. I was in awe- these are items you grew up learning about and to actually be staring down at them was surreal.

We then made our way around the mall stopping at the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, WWII Memorial, Washington Monument and the Supreme Court. Whew!! We must have walked a good 7 miles!

We headed home, got all glammed up and went out for dinner, drinks and dancing. The next morning we went out for a lovely Sunday Brunch at the Carlisle Hotel and then went shopping.

Cheers to the bride

Looking forward to the wedding in August! Congrats Nay!
