Day Two- Naples, Italy

We were so excited to visit Naples and had scheduled a really great excursion- Pompeii!! Our bus picked us up right from the boat and we drove about 30 minutes to get there. We were both really interested to see what everything was going to look like considering that we grew up learning about Pompeii. It was very large, really well preserved and the society actually had a lot of advancement.

After Pompeii we drove back into Naples and we had some time to explore. We knew Naples, Italy was the birthplace of pizza so we found the original restaurant Brandi Pizza. The story says that the Margherita pizza was created for the queen with the 3 colors of the Italian flag- red (tomato), green (basil), and white (cheese). The pizzeria is still in business and that is where we had lunch. We spent the rest of the afternoon just walking around Naples.

After a full day of exploring we went back to the ship for some ice skating fun! A few times a day they would open up the rink for open skating. Jeff was a pro right away, it took me a few laps to get the hang of it again haha.
